I’m librarian Yamila El-Khayat and this is NNLM Discovery, a podcast from the Network of the National Library of Medicine. We have some very exciting news to share! We’re back!! We’re currently developing and recording new stories from all seven regions of the Network.

These new episodes will be released bi-weekly every other Wednesday starting this October.

Just like our previous episodes, you never know where the Network will take us next! Remember our previous stories on the islands…? (Ham radio discussion)

Or even our adventures in a bookmobile on the reservation in Wyoming. “The name is Moby Bookmobile, and you’ll notice the white pickup, the white trailer. There’s Moby Dick.”

And in two weeks we’ll feature part 2 of our story on the Collection Equity Awards. “A lot of times the library collections does not reflect who the library serves. We want to show all these different perspectives in our collection. And this was a nice, quick, and fun way to do that.”

This fall and winter our regions will share stories that feature unique research grants that help communicate health information in new ways for the purpose of improving the public’s health.
