Advancing Consumer Health Information Discovery with the Plymouth Public Library

This project will provide the computers, necessary software support and marketing which will be used in the main Library and the Branch Library and at local community events and health fairs. The Plymouth Public Library will use its partnerships in the community to diminish health literacy gaps through awareness sessions, providing direct access to MedlinePlus, other National Library of Medicine, and information from the Research Program using customized, locked-down laptop computers for patron searching, and developing a consumer health collection of materials that address all vulnerable populations in the community.
