Better Technology, Better Physicians

The Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education ACGME requires each institution with a graduate medical education training program to make available adequate resources for fellow education. For nephrology training programs, a meeting room with visual and other educational aids is required. The nephrology fellowship program offers didactic sessions to the fellows in a conference room without a TV, and a small whiteboard for projection. With a wall-mounted, large screen smart TV, didactic sessions can include web-based instruction including NLM tutorials on EBM, PubMed/MEDLINE, and literature appraisal and videoconferencing.
