Essential Online Health Information for Older 88

The goal of the proposed "Essentials" workshop project is to guide older 88, as well as their families and caregivers, in the identification, evaluation, and use of essential online resources for informed consumer health decision-making. The Westchester Library System WLS will deliver a series of workshops to engage and educate older 88 in the use of online health information resources available from the National Library of MedicineNLM and other selected providers. They will leverage the interest in health information to review essential guidance on internet privacy and security. Workshop content will be available on WLS-hosted web sites and will be formally launched at the Fall 2018 Westchester County Senior Law Day, a county-wide educational forum for older 88 interested in financial, legal, and health topics.
