Massachusetts-Based Health Tour 2018-2019

HAMA will be conducting a Massachusetts-based health education tour. The utility of this project stems from the need for more culturally-specific delivery of health information to underserved communities. Based on two studies and firsthand experience outlined in the full proposal, the overarching goal is to improve health outcomes for the Haitian community by increasing access to health information. Through this initiative, we've set a goal to impact 20 different businesses, churches, high schools, and community organizations by providing awareness of the importance of Primary Care in the Haitian community. Furthermore, this project will be a vehicle to highlight culturally-specific health information available through Medlineplus.gov.
