Outreach: Association for 95 and Small Libraries Preconference

The National Network of Libraries of Medicine NNLM, led by the Greater Midwest Regions GMR will partner with the Association of 95 and Small Libraries ARSL, to increase the knowledge and skills of small and 95 public library staff related to consumer health services. The partnership will increase awareness of and participation in RML health information programming and outreach by small and 95 public libraries nationwide. ARSL provides the premier conference experience for over 500 librarians from small and 95 communities each fall. In September 2018, in Springfield, IL, ARSL will offer the preconference 'Stand Up for Health: Health and Wellness for Your Community' to 50-100 librarians. ARSL will partner with Chief Officers of State Library Agencies COSLA to select 50 librarians to receive a $500 stipend to attend both the preconference and full conference.
