The upcoming SC/MLA meeting is not yet open for registration, nor does it list a conference theme. However, looking at last year's information, the theme was "Navigating Uncertainty, Librarians Lead the Way," with a program that allows members to demonstrate how their work supports those they work with daily. I live in Nashville, TN, where this meeting will be held in October 2025, so I will not need travel or hotel expenses. I will need the conference fee, per diem, and parking costs for downtown each day. I have already been approved for time off for the conference by my employer. The conference member fees last year were $295.00 for the entire conference. This year's registration is not open on the website, but I assume it will be similar in price, or slightly higher.
