Resiliencia Comunitaria Post-Emergencias (Community Resilience Post Emergencies)

(Updated - Nick Vera - 8/28/25) Community Resilience Post-Emergencies is a community-based initiative led by Apoyo y Servicios Integrados Inc. (ASI) aimed at addressing the mental health needs of Spanish-speaking populations in Puerto Rico following natural disasters and public health emergencies. This project provides mental health first aid training to community members, empowering them to recognize signs of trauma and stress, deliver immediate emotional support, and effectively utilize authoritative mental health information regarding anxiety, PTSD, and coping with traumatic events provided by the National Library of Medicine, SAMHSA, and the National Institute of Mental Health. Through engaging workshops and targeted outreach, this initiative fosters long-term emotional resilience and health literacy, helping communities heal, rebuild, and better prepare for future emergencies.
