Subaward Project
NORTH ALABAMA ACCESS TO HEALTH LITERACY AND RESOURCES
North Alabama AHEC seeks to increase health and digital literacy among rural, high-need communities within its service area with a focus on minority, older adults and populations with limited access to medical care. The project will include conducting in-person needs assessments, developing a community resource guide, and promoting content from the National Library of Medicine—particularly MedlinePlus, including its Spanish-language resources. Information gathered from the community will be used to inform those who work with these populations about their specific needs, effective engagement strategies, and relevant resources.
