One Million Acts of Science for Citizen Science Month


STEMS on the VINES/SOTV Creators with the Clendening History of Medicine Library at KUMC will conduct an All of Us Citizen Science Project for Citizen Science Month during March and April 2024. The project consists of a screening and training for teachers on how to conduct citizen science with their students. A city-wide initiative to test for lead pipes in the homes of Title 1 students will be done using guidelines and lesson plans from Crowd The Tap and SciStarter online platforms. The Clendening History of Medicine Library is a member of the National Library of Medicine Network and will promote the All of Us program through the institution's information channels. STEMS on the VINES/SOTV Creators will co-host a screening of this initiative sponsored by the KUMC Clendening Medical Library. Funds will be used for programming kits, personnel time to facilitate trainings, and All of Us promotion
