Subaward Project
NAPC Promotion Award
Antelope Lending Library requests $9,775 from the Promotion Award to be used to bring awareness to the All of Us program and facilitate access to health literacy and resources. Funds will be spent in the approximate amounts:
$900 will be spent on printing costs including ink and paper to print and distribute All of Us health literacy materials at our bookmobile stops, outreach services, and home-book delivery.
$3,200 will be spent on supplies for health literacy activities and books for elementary and middle school ages, to be distributed freely to Johnson County households in home-deliveries and in-person bookmobile services. This will include purchasing books about health to be given away with All of Us materials, supplies for learning activities that we can use throughout bookmobile programming in the coming years, an accessible healthy eating kit, and 2 circulating activity backpacks. Activity backpacks will include materials to promote movement in youth and staying active, books on healthy play for different ages, and All of Us promotional materials.
The remaining $5,675 will be spent on staff time, both administrative planning costs and in-person service to promote and distribute NNLM materials to Johnson County households that face barriers to library services and thus face greater barriers to health services, such as transportation, language, financial, and legal documentation barriers. All of Us & NNLM resources will be shared on our social media and promoted on our website, including posts about programming and resources provided through this funding.
