All of Us Journey Event Support

In preparation for NIH’s All of Us Journey’s visit, the Fletcher Free Library will host two pre-event talks in May on genetics and medical ethics, bringing in medical experts Dr. Robert Wildin from the UVM Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine & Department of Pediatrics to discuss genetics and Dr. Emily Goldberg from Tulane University Department of Physiology and Microbiology to discuss medical ethics.

During the Journey’s visit, from June 4-7, FFL will host a health screening clinic and other free activities for the public. FFL will also be connecting with the Vermont Language Justice Project to explore making information videos in other languages to support our community.

The organization will use funds for the library to reimburse costs for marketing, materials and supplies related to the events, as well as costs for speakers, health clinic services, and translation.
