Subaward Project

This project will build on previous efforts to evaluate the effectiveness and suitability of generative AI evidence-synthesis tools. Having created a rubric to effectively evaluate a generative AI tool, we now seek to inform how to incorporate AI literacy into a train-the-trainers experience for evidence-based practice mentoring clinicians. Using a previous developed clinician-in-the-loop rubric, librarians at the Blaisdell Medical Library (BML) and staff at the UCDH Center for Nursing Science will assess Consensus helpfulness, comprehension, correctness, completeness, and risk of clinical harm compared to traditional search and synthesis methods. These findings will inform the integration of generative AI literacy into an EBP boot camp session where mentors will have access to pro features of the tool as part of their learning experience and their support of clinical inquiry and the delivery of evidence-informed care.
