Trauma Informed Care Training
A free virtual training on trauma informed care will inform health science and information professionals on how to incorporate trauma-informed care in their educational settings. During this three-hour training Nisha Mody will utilize evidence based practice and her years of experience to explain the concept of trauma-informed care and dive deeper into how this can be applied in instruction, consultations, and through reference interactions. Additionally, Kelleen Maluski and Alexis Ellsworth-Kopkowski, will also be running a short instruction on how to utilize NLM, U.S. Department of Health, and other resources to address and understand trauma- informed care. Resources that will be included (though not limited to) in these sessions are Trauma Informed Care in Behavioral Health Services, Guiding Principles to a Trauma-informed approach, and how to search and evaluate resources in PubMed and MedlinePlus.
