Seniors Be Well at GRPL

Mercy Health Saint Mary’s Family Medicine Residency Program will partner with the Grand Rapids Public Library (GRPL) to provide a health literacy series for the seniors in our community, particularly our underserved senior populations. Both of these institutions serve people across the lifespan, are members of the Network of the National Library of Medicine (NNLM), and focus on health literacy and underserved populations. At these talks a physician will provide credible medical information and sources for further information on these topics, sometimes alongside a community partner who can share relevant community services available to participants. There will also be accompanying activities for seniors aligned with the talk topics, such as exercise classes, book clubs, and the series final event, a Caregiver Expo.
