Learn about creating a one-page disaster plan for your library or organization from guest speaker Dan Wilson, Deputy Director at the University of Virginia Claude Moore Health Sciences Library and author of the book, Library as Safe Haven, Disaster Planning, Recovery, and Response.

Speaker: 

Dan Wilson is the Deputy Director at the University of Virginia Claude Moore Health Sciences Library. From 2006 until 2014, he was the coordinator for the Network of the National Library of Medicine (NNLM) National Emergency Preparedness & Response Initiative. In that role, he promoted disaster preparedness in our nation’s libraries through facilitating workshops and summit meetings designed to improve library disaster readiness and creating partnerships between librarians and emergency planners. Dan continues to present at conferences and is NNLM Region 1 Community of Interest Leader for Disaster Preparedness & Response. He is a co-author of the book, Library as Safe Haven, Disaster Planning, Recovery, and Response.

Upon completion of the class, participants will be able to claim 1 MLA CE Credit.
