We live and work in an environment of unprecedented information, constant connectivity, rapid technological change, and growing uncertainty. How can we move beyond simply preventing burnout toward creating the conditions for human flourishing? This presentation explores practical ways to optimize health, attention, meaning, connection, and well-being in our personal and professional lives. Drawing on emerging ideas about human flourishing, information overload, AI, and healthy workplaces, we will consider how individuals, teams, and organizations can create environments that support people not only to cope, but to but to live healthy, meaningful, and connected lives.

Loida Garcia-Febo is an international library consultant, professor, researcher, and award-winning library leader with more than two decades of experience advancing libraries as essential infrastructure for equitable access to information, knowledge, and technology. For more than 25 years, she has researched and promoted wellness for librarians and library workers, and she teaches and presents on wellness through Lib2.0 and other stakeholders across the library profession. She is the recipient of the American Library Association (ALA) Medal of Excellence and the REFORMA Lifetime Achievement Award.
She currently serves as Chair of the IFLA Management of Library Associations Section, a member of the IFLA Governing Board, and Chair of the ALA International Relations Committee. Her previous leadership roles include ALA President, Chair of the ALA United Nations Subcommittee, President of REFORMA, and Founder and Advisor of the IFLA New Professionals Special Interest Group. Born, raised, and educated in Puerto Rico, she has taught and presented in 46 countries and has actively served the International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions (IFLA) since 2003.
