Engaging Beyond Tablets: Noticing Older Adults during Post Pandemic Northern Illinois University Our proposal aims to provide an educational resource tool kit using Tablets to underserved older adults (> 65 yrs) belonging to lower income and lower education groups in DeKalb county. Secondary goal is to bring awareness and educate them on how the All of US Research program can help all, including older adults by providing the research community with data sets so future studies can address specific needs of older populations. Equitable Access to Telehealth Effingham Public Library - Illinois Since June 2020, the Effingham Public Library has been providing case management services for our community. While this program was born out of the unique needs presented by the pandemic, the needs of our community have continued to evolve. One of the emerging areas of need is access to telehealth and mental health services. Since we serve primarily a rural community, access to broadband and the required technology to support a telehealth appointment are not available to all community members. Health Information Literacy Training for Southeastern Illinois Eastern Illinois University Booth Library This project builds on the digital literacy program developed by Illinois Broadband READY to add a digital health literacy component. Health literacy experts will work with public libraries and organizations serving gender and sexually diverse (GSD) populations to create a curriculum that addresses their specific needs. Library staff and organization GSD representatives will be trained to provide further training to their patrons and members.
Health Information Translations Central Ohio Hospital Council Health Information Translations (HIT) is a website for low-literacy health information translated into multiple languages. Healthinfotranslations.org was established to share translated health information, predominantly for Limited English Proficiency (LEP) populations. Primarily provided for health care providers serving LEP patients, it is also available for individuals to access at no cost in up to 19 languages, depending on the topic.
