If you’re new to PubMed or just want a refresher this online class is designed for you. The class is made up of 10 short units that include videos, exercises and quizzes. The class gives you the chance to explore PubMed at your own pace with guided tours and exercises. This class takes about 1 hour to complete.

An unconference is a participant-oriented event where attendees structure the interactions, emphasizing conversations over formal presentations. The emphasis is on interaction between attendees and the discussions which emerge when participants are given an opportunity to engage with each other on topics of interest

NNLM Region 2 Webinar Series is an irregular webinar series from the NNLM Region 2, featuring guest speakers presenting on topics of interest to all our users, from librarians to public health practitioners, educators, clinicians, and others who work with health information. Topics will be scheduled according to audience interest, seasonal applicability, and speaker availability.

ROI: Region One Insights is a webinar series from the Network of the National Library of Medicine, Region 1. Speakers will cover different topics of interest to health science librarians, health care practitioners, librarians, and other health focused groups in the region.

All sessions are online webinars, which allow for live conversations and online chat. Sessions are recorded, closed captioned, and made available for later viewing.

Evidence shows that there are marked health disparities between those living in rural areas versus their urban counterparts. This presentation addresses health information resources and data, increasing health information access and use and the NNLM initiative of Bridging the Digital Divide by demonstrating how to find information on health conditions, demographic groups and social issues in MedlinePlus.gov, Rural Health Information Hub, and USDA Economic Research Service.

The Rural Health Webinar Series is being held in recognition of National Rural Health Day the 3rd Thursday in November. This interactive, on-demand course is intended to introduce researchers and librarians to common data elements (CDEs) and how to use the NIH Common Data Element Repository. 

The Substance Use Disorders webinar series will address the NNLM priority of environmental determinants of health (including both the natural and built environment) and substance use disorder on both a national and regional level. This series focuses on substance use disorder and how it intersects with topics such as mental health, access to health care, rural/urban health, health advocacy, housing, tribal health, prevention, and socio-economic aspects of health.
