| Community Discussion: Addressing the NIH Data Management and Sharing Policy Session 2 | The NNLM National Center for Data Services will be holding a series of interactive "Community Discussions'' about the upcoming NIH Data Management and Sharing Plan Requirements (effective January 25, 2023). In these discussions, medical librarians and information professionals working in research data management will discuss challenges in addressing the National Institutes of Health Policy for Data Management and Sharing at their institutions. |
| Fundamentals of Health Data Science | Each module will contain readings (e.g., articles, book chapters, videos, website content), a discussion board for learners to answer questions about the materials, and an assignment. Learners will also meet a handful of times with community experts, experienced data science librarians, to discuss the field and class assignments. |

This all-day workshop is intended for those without much experience working in research data management and will provide an overview of the NIH policy, research data management basics, and related resources. Instructors from the NCDS will be joined by Nina Exner of Virginia Commonwealth University. |
