Enhancing Access to Biomedical Resources through the TEACH Academy

Over the past fourteen years, the TEACH Academy Teachers Exploring and Advocating Careers in Health has provided teachers, guidance counselors and health professionals with resources to educate students and patients of all ages and about the rapidly-changing field of healthcare and careers in the field. The 2017 TEACH Academy will expand the curriculum to include biomedical and health information from the National Library of Medicine. MAR staff will be invited to present a workshop session, and resources and information will be included in the materials given to TEACH participants. Additionally, scholarships will be provided for 15 professionals from 95 and/or underserved areas to attend this training.
