Campus Connections: A Solo Librarian’s Journey Launching a Satellite Health Science Library December 14, 2022 With the almost paradoxical shift towards decreasing physical footprints and funding and increasing satellite campuses (and thus constituencies), academic libraries are facing pressure to - in any combination - consolidate, launch, or close physical spaces and move towards digital collections. In the health sciences, this situation is compounded by the rapidly rising cost and amount of electronic health information, the urgency to open academic medical centers in areas with needs for health professionals, and pressures of programs and their professional learners.

NIH Data Management and Sharing Policy Overview January 10, 2023 The NIH Data Management and Sharing Policy that will go into effect in January 2023 will require funded researchers to submit a plan outlining how scientific data from their research will be managed and shared. This session is intended for information professionals who are unfamiliar with this policy and will review the policy components and how you can prepare to address the policy at your institution. Topics to be covered include the context for the policy, the scope, the various components of the policy, institutional considerations for working with the policy in place, and tools and resources already available to help.
