(1) review the science on how everyday chemical exposures can influence breast cancer risk,
(2) identify resources to help people reduce their exposures by taking simple actions as individuals and community members, and
(3) learn how misleading information, including from sources that people expect to be reliable, can play into industry’s dismissive strategies.

Life After 2 Losses: Support Advocacy and Health Literacy for a Healthy Pregnancy April 17, 2024 This live event highlights programming from Life After 2 Losses, a non-profit organization with the mission to prevent reproductive & health injustices through the support and empowerment of women & families in the community. The organization received a grant from the Region 1 Medical Library to continue their mission of 1) changing the narrative surrounding pregnancy loss 2) education and raising awareness 3) advocacy efforts and 4) grief support.

Getting the Right Information to Patients Using MedlinePlus Connect On-demand through April 13, 2025 This 1 hour on-demand class introduces MedlinePlus Connect, and points to resources for implementing MedlinePlus Connect at your institution. MedlinePlus Connect is a tool that enables the integration of MedlinePlus resources into external systems like electronic health record systems, patient portals, and other applications. Working knowledge of MedlinePlus is suggested pre-requisite.
